A new programme for female founders who are in a career that doesn’t represent who they are anymore. I started to notice that in our 30’s there’s a real cross road in our professional life. A lot of women feel trapped or lost in jobs that don’t empower them any more. Society & the media is so focussed on womens traditional milestones of our 20’s & 30’s that we seem to forget that life does not plummet into nothingness when we creep up to 40. You don’t have to settle for a career that doesn’t make you happy anymore. You don’t have to shy away from an exciting opportunity because ‘it’s too late’. In fact, our Second Act can be what defines us.

Who is this programme for?

The Second Act is for women who are on the cusp of an incredible business idea but are lacking the support to launch it. You feel trapped in an industry or business that drains you or you have a side hustle that really excites you but it’s not your main gig yet. Your ‘idea’ is giving you all the feels & you know that if it was to become a ‘proper business’ this could really have a positive impact on your life. But this is as far as you’ve got - you are likely lacking in time & too overwhelmed to take it any further. You’ve got the emotional buy in from your nearest and dearest - you’ve perhaps even started to build an audience on social media who are your cheerleaders & love the concept but that is probably where it ends. You haven’t started the strategy & framework of what makes this a viable business - who would want this? Is there anyone else out there doing it? How do I do it? And most importantly HOW TF WILL IT MAKE MONEY!?

The programme

In this 121 intensive 3 month program I will offer you unconditional support as your ‘silent co-founder’. I will fill in the missing gaps, compliment your expertise by offering my experience in the areas you don’t feel comfortable in. I will become your sounding board & confident for important decisions & significant next steps. I will build your monetisation strategy & business plan with you that will give you the confidence to make the important next steps to launch your business.

How I will support your Second Act

I have over 15 years of experience in commercial strategy & sales working for leading businesses in the entertainment, product & platform space. I, like you, decided my career wasn’t fulfilling any more so I set up my own commercial consultancy for start ups in 2018 and I’m finally happy doing a job that I love. In the last 3.5 years I have worked with over 30 founders launching their startups & small businesses. I have seen first hand what works & unfortunately what doesn’t. The resounding feedback I received from all of my clients over this period was ‘I am the co-founder they wish they had’. Which is when I had the revelation that actually this is what founders and entrepreneurs need and what is evidently lacking in the industry. That unconditional support & sounding board so that you can confidently launch your business without all the missing gaps.

My absolute passion is helping female entrepreneurs achieve their goals to create a business that could significantly change their life.

What I am not: I am not one of those ‘be a girl boss and make millions’ mentor and business coaches - it gives me the ick.

In the first 3 months

I asked founders what the main stumbling blocks are pre launch and have broken this down into 4 areas of support;

TIME & RESOURCE I act as your silent co-founder. As soon as we start working together I begin research into demand, competitors & the best launch strategy with the funds that you have. Is your business idea viable? What areas in business do you feel unsure on? We look at your strengths as a founder and what areas of the business you need to allocate to me to help you progress?

SOUNDING BOARD dealing with a big change in your life without unconditional support can be seriously lonely & as a result become unmotivating. We will have weekly meetings with actions in place. We will have a slack channel that is always open for dialogue and discussions. I will have an emergency line for huge decisions. I will be the business partner or team member you need for this huge change in your life.

EFFECTIVE BUSINESS PLAN We develop your idea so it is ready to go to market or for appropriate banks/investors/crowdfunding. We build your business plan together so you feel confident in your strategy. Based on your idea and what it entails I present back investment options with actionable & realistic next steps depending on your financial situation & what we believe is needed.

MONETISATION & REVENUE STRATEGY How will your business make money? We explore a central monetisation approach and then what would need to be done to achieve it. This will vary depending on what your business is but will likely fall under one or more of the following key 5;

Subscriptions & memberships
Advertising revenue, inc data, affiliates & brand partnerships
Product, e-commerce & merchandise
Streaming
Services: which can include leasing a service or your own personal business services

3 MONTH PROGRAMME - unlimited support, workshops & weekly meetings (that fit within your schedule) so at the end of our time together you are ready to launch your business / take to relevant investors. Prices vary depending on whether it’s all in support or working with you alongside your other commitments £3,500- £6,500

STRATEGY SESSION - this is ideal if you are pre launch or early stages of your business and need focus on a particular area of your launch. I include deep dive insights & thoughts ahead of our working session, based on your focus points (eg competitors, business plan, monetisation). Then a 2 hour working session focussed on your business framework and launch strategy £550

POWER HOUR - this is the one if you need help on a specific focus of your business idea or launch. Or if you need support or ideas on a big career change or significant pivot of your business. Absolutely perfect if you’re at a professional crossroad and need a sounding board £199
